    This cane base was smaller than advertised. It might not be stable enough for a heavy person or very ill person. At first I used a regular silver cane with a large base that was heavier in weight for stability. As I healed from low back problems I wanted a lighter cane. This cane is lighter weight and it looks good but not quite as stable as the large base cane. The handle does not look so old fashioned either. For stability stick with a large base. The price should have been a little less expensive also. If this cane had a large base along with its looks and lower price I would give it five s
