Absolutely not worth it. If all you're looking for is a fold-able pair of crutches that you're not going to be using much, maybe for a one time use, then this is for you. If you plan on using crutches somewhat regularly or are suffering from a somewhat serious injury DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. First of all these crutches DO NOT come with rubber bottoms which is a safety hazard from my point of view. The grips are also very uncomfortable when compared to the padding of every other crutch out on the market. After only a couple uses you will have bruises on your hands from how bad the padding is. Due to their folding ability, I was able to use them on a recent trip to Florida; I liked how light they were I had a feeling of security without the weight. At around the 6-month mark, however, the rubber components began to break downthe rubber hand grips and under arm pads began peeling; the aluminum components were fine. I recently purchased a new pair, on sale at Wal Mart, and use them if I have an appointment where I will be required to do a lot of walking. Carex crutches are built well enough to get the job done, but due to their rubber componentsthe grips and padsI cannot give them a f
