The new bed, while almost identical i design, is definitely a less sturdy product. The caster wheels are now a much thinner, more flexible plastic in their centers; in all the years I had the previous bed, moving it, even on a berber rug surface, was NEVER an issue. A new wheel snapped on my 4th day of using the bed. I was fortunate; my son had saved the old casters and simply replaced all 4, but that is a definite poorer quality. The new bed

    Drive Bariatric Bed

Fits perfect in a small space. My mom thinks it's comfortable. Entire Bed sits too high for short people once mattress in place. Wish entire bed height could be lowered. Other than this, the product is great in the short amount of time owned.
